Temple & Webster are Australia’s #1 online furniture and homewares retailer. 

Their problem was: not only was the cost of living crisis eating into consumer spending, but many people simply weren’t comfortable dropping thousands of dollars online on sofas they’d never sat on. To make them comfortable with it, we needed to make sure people knew Temple & Webster cared about cushiness.

So we created a C-suite job just for it: the first ever Chief Cushiness Officer.

This real job paid $20,000 for 20 days of work, performing duties like lying on sofas, wine tasting and making sure that Temple & Webster’s furniture lived up to world-beating cushiness standards. 

Not a bad gig in a cost of living crisis.
